But of course the hard drive on that is only 2.5gb so cannot install the Western Europe Map on that one. Is there another patcher?Īnd on another note - I have recently bought another Tomtom go 700 on Ebay (the one I have been using above has been mine for over 13 years), but I tried the Navcore 9.541 on the Ebay one and it seemed to work as it got to where it says no maps installed. It seems though that it didn't like the way the map patched with the Western Europe 1040-9799 version. I am also downloading another version - the 1040-9809 version to see if that will work. I have no clue why it is not working with the Western Europe map (2.6GB). Do you know though why it won't work with the Western Europe Map? I have tried the Uk map and it does work, which is awesome. Thank you Holyhead for all your help and persistance. The bootloader on the Ebay is 5.5259.Īnd as regards speed cameras - are the Pocket GPS UK Zoned one's available on here? Any idea why the Navcore 9.541 seems to work on the Ebay tomtom go 700 but not on my one with the 8gb Transcend Compact Flash card installed. Do you know though why it won't work with the Western Europe Map? I am also downloading another version - the 1040-9809 version to see if that will work. And also as the navcore's do not contain a system file, should I always keep my system file on the tomtom and not delete it when trying to upgrade the navcore?
#Navcore tomtom go 300 how to
Everytime it freezes at Tomtom hands screen.Ĭan someone, kindly tell me how to do this and or where I am going wrong. I have also copied the system file over from the backup, but again no difference. I have also copied over the ttgo.bif from a backup after copying the navcore files over, but again that makes no difference.

I have also wiped the drive on the tomtom and copied over the navcore files fresh and used fast activate to patch - which again it says it has patched, but again freezes on Tomtom hands screen. I have then both (a) used fast activate to patch the navcore and it says it has patched the navcore but when I switch it on it freezes at the Tomtom hands screen (b) I have also instead of patching straight after copying the navcore files over, rebooted the tomtom, but again it freezes at Tomtom hands screen. I have then copied them over to the tomtom and overwritten any files when asked.

I have downloaded the cab files and then extracted them on my pc using winrar. This is what I have been doing to install the Navocre: I am running a patched Wester_Europe_Map v 850_2801.

"O yes you can downgrade from a higher to a lower b/l.I am sorry to have to ask, but I have scoured the forums and have tried to update my navcore from 7.903 to 9.43 and 9.51 but it will just freeze on the Tomtom hands screen. No, you can't downgrade, it's not true, it's related only to some custom bootloader, read bellow, The answer involves secure bootloader, you're not someone recommend an insecure bootloader, I do not see the logic in your conclusions!Ģ.
